Additions are large investments, but with current housing prices, they can be preferrable to buying a larger more expensive home. Adding a second story addition requires retrofitting the existing house to accommodate new loads, as well as bringing the affected parts of the house up to current structural code. Many of our competitors call themselves design-build firms, but very few directly offer architectural or interior design services by well trained and licensed professionals. Doing this ensures our clients get beautiful and expertly crafted solutions with a seamless experience from beginning to end.

Estate Homes is team of architects, interior designers, and craftsman, dedicated to creating beautiful spaces for clients throughout the Seattle-Bellevue area. The company is owned and operated by C.J. Christensen. C.J. is a licensed architect in Washington and California with over 16 years of design and construction experience. Prior to acquiring Estate Homes C.J. owned and operated an architectural firm specializing in residential remodels and custom homes. Throughout his career he has worked on project types ranging from art museums and concert halls, to high end private residences in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Sun Valley, and Taiwan. We are happy to collaborate with outside designers, but we require that final design drawings and documents be produced by Estate Homes to ensure quality and consistency.

We will acquire the building permits.

If a project requires structural or civil engineering, we have great working relationships with engineers who are well versed in the requirements of local jurisdictions.

Estate Homes self performs a large portion of the work on most of our projects such as finish carpentry and cabinet installation. We have trusted sub-contractors to provide licensed trades such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Depending on the size and type of project we may bring on additional subs to perform other skilled trades.

Many of our kitchen and bath remodel clients choose to live in while work is being done. We take the utmost care to control dust and keep the job site clean. For full home remodels or second story additions, it is often best if the owner lives off site for at least part of the project.

Yes. We provide a 1 year warranty on work performed.

Every project has a dedicated architect, interior designer, and superintendent who are available to help you. Also, throughout your project you will have full access to everyone in the company, from the President on down. If there is ever a question or a concern, we want to help.
