Craig R.Carney, Assoc. AIA-Building Design

Craig is an award-winning designer with over ten years of residential design experience including designing and building his own home.  His approach to design stems from both his education and hands-on experience. Craig's interest in architecture began in high school when he took drafting classes and worked for his father's construction company during the summer months.  After earning his college degree he started his own design firm, Affordable Home Designs, as a part-time business venture.  Craig worked for Architects Northwest for three years under the direction of different architects.  Since joining Estate Homes in 2002  he has had the privilege of working on well over 200 design projects which serve as evidence of his beautiful, functional and innovative designs in all different building styles. Education is an on-going process for Craig.  New materials, techniques and design ideas continue to be an important element in his service to our clients.  His research and study of "built green" methods have allowed him to make many suggestions involving energy saving and environmentally sound procedures.  Craig's challenge is to turn a vision into reality and he is well adept at communicating his designs through thorough and accurate drawings and explanatory sessions.   Since he has designed and built his own home, he has first hand knowledge of what clients go through physically, emotionally and financially.  This empathy translates to a smoother, and more pleasant, experience for the client.

Jeff Reed, Field Operations Manager

One reason Jeff loves working at Estate Homes  is that each home that is built or remodeled is unique, customized and designed to meet each client's needs just right.  He understands how much effort goes into the design and specifications process before he begins his work building and appreciates how the design and building talents are combined together to form one terrific team.  This inspiration, combined with over 32 years in construction, is the driving force behind Jeff's role in making sure each project is completed according to our highest standard and that the client's experience during construction has exceeded their expectations.  Jeff began his residential construction career in 1979.  His first 18 years were spent honing his skills in the trades: drywall, framing, siding, foundations and structural work.  During the next 14 years he has managed residential construction  with various builders.  Jeff likes to boat, fish and work on classic car restoration (both mechanics and body work) in his spare time, along with enjoying life with his wonderful daughter, McKenna.
